Frigate Shtandart has been a movie star for a while now. She has got leading roles in “Terra Nova” and “Michiel de Ruyter”, just to name a few. Her episodic appearances in various other movies are countless. This February our movie set is the Great Mediterranean, as we are going to perform in Spanish Galicia, bathed in sunshine.
The genre and the plot have to remain a secret. Contracts, you know. But we can give you a small spoiler: the current movie title is “22 Angels”, and this is not what you just thought. It is a serious and heartwarming story.
“Camera, Action!” And the ship's masts bear not only sails, but also Dream Factory equipment, and professional sailors trade places (and experiences) with professional actors.
Between the takes we can take strolls along the promenade, warm our tired bones on the empty off-season beaches and admire unique Portuguese architecture.
Last, but not least, we strongly suggest to stay for another leg: the true pirates after having their share of the toy sea absolutely have to taste the real one! Right after the shooting we are going to sail from A Coruña to Lisbon. It's your chance to show that you're a true sailor, not just a movie star.
