Atlantic Ocean – Long distance – Sailing course – Portugal - Spain
If you want to make you Beltane really memorable, we suggest you spend them in a special way in the open seas, holding the steering wheel of the wooden XVIII century frigate.
We will experience astunningly beautiful passage from Seville to Vigo. We will sailalong the entire Portuguese coast, and we will definitely visit several hospitable ports like Portimao with its huge beaches, or touristic Cascais near Lisbon.
We might be able to visit Porto to walk along the streets of theold town and try world’s best port wine.
Route
This leg islong and diverse: first, the passage of 50 miles down the Guadalquivir, from Seville to the Gulf of Cádiz. Here we meet whales and dolphins quite often, and in calm weather we enjoy the chance to swim. In southern latitudes, water just begs you to jump in. And you can do it directly from the toprail.
After a short anchorage at Cape St. Vincent, having enjoyed a sandy beach trapped between the cliffs with a trail to the fortress dominating the cape, we round the cape and enter the Atlantic.

We sail along the whole Portugal and hide in the safe bay of Vigo protected from any storms by the Cies islands.. From afar these islands look completely “Caribbean“ reminding the scenes from pirate movies. Before final mooring in Vigo we land on the wide beach to see off the sun diving into the oceanic waves.

Sailing course
Diversified conditions of this leg and significant distance are great for navigation training and seamanship. It will be interesting both for newcomers and for experienced yachtsmans: according your needs, we can cover various topics from knots to weather forecasts, from sail trimming to passageplanning.
