Tunisia — Sidi Bou Said — Malta

Bizerte — Malta is one of the most southern sailing routes of the "Shtandart" this season. If you want warmer wether and more sunlight, you definitely should pay attention to this very route.

Route
The distance s not very long, but not very short either — 300 nm. Within a week we will manage both to call at Sidi Bou Said, and to cover quite a serious distance to Malta. For once in a while, we will have warm night shifts under the twinkling of the southern stars!

In Sidi Bou Said we plan to drop anchor at the Presidential Palace or to call at the Gamarth marina, maybe, we will manage to do both, successively.

Malta doesn't even need any advertising - the Shtandart has already tested a stay at this island last spring, and it is definitely worth repeating.

Sailor practice
Any Shtandart journey includes mandatory making and taking in of sails, bracing and steering wheel shifts. We have no passengers!

Amount of new knowledge and skills depends on your energy and enthusiasm. Shift officers and the captain will eagerly share their experience; just find time to ask your questions! Knots, modern and traditional navigation, marine radio communication and tricks of the sail settings – you can learn anything, see it and try it with your own hands.
