The year of 2016 is about to end, and we just have started.
We couldn't have done it without you, together we make one huge and awesome team, the Shtandart's family. Thank you so much for your strong support, sailing participation and heart-warming atmosphere. We are looking forward to seeing you in the coming year: aboard the ship at the dock or at sea, at our educational boatyard, aboard the Captain's gigs or the yawl.
We are all of the same kind, only together we can overcome the hardships, create or learn something new and fascinating, make our dreams come true.
Just this December we accomplished a lot. We gathered a super-team of volunteers in Portugal and started the largest refit in the ship's history. We developed and published the complete trip schedule for the next season, got a full crew complement for some of the summer legs; we also recalled the victories of this year and shared these stories with you at the multiplicity of our web-pages.
We'll keep the pace in January. We're about to start putting in the new deck. Right after the holidays, Shtandart's Master Carpenter Sergey Alfeyevich Neustupov is coming aboard. Our boatyard in St. Petersburg is busy with maintenance and theory as well.
Anything else you'd like to know? Tell us what you would like to hear about the ship and her crew, and we'll be back to you with more stories.
We are looking forward to new friends and adventures, miles to sail and victories to be won.
Happy New Year, y'all!
