The ship owner of frigate “Shtandart” is a nonprofit charitable organization “Project “Shtandart” that was founded to revive interest for marine history and to involve the young in the real thing.

Those volunteers who put their back into work of captain’s gigs building, preparing the ship for sailing season or the Project development may participate in “Shtandart” voyages free of charge. We also open up free opportunities like sailing skills essentials training, gig journeys and experience in woodwork in our training workshop.

In order to cover frigate and a ship-yard maintenance costs “Shtandart” attracts sponsors and patrons, organizes corporate hospitality events and partly recruit trainees for a fee.
