Riga — Roja-Salacgriva-Riga

Join us for a round-trip Riga-Riga. Sailing in the Baltic in summer is ideal for experiencing this beautiful northern sea at her best.  Late night sun diving just for a moment into silvery water, light wind filling the sails – these memories are going to stay with you for a long time even if you have seen a number of sunsets at sea.

The Baltic Sea is native for Shtandart, she was built for it and she is used to it. Here you can really travel in time back 300 years and feel what it’s like to be an 18^th century sailor. 

This trip also allows you to choose how long your time travel needs to take. You can spend 3 days at sea, get well experienced in sail handling, steering the ship and bringing her to her berth for the night. Or you can choose a lighter version with just one night on board. Every night we’d be dockside in port, thus no strenuous night watches, totally kid-friendly schedule, and every morning we’d be out there in the Gulf of Riga again, taking in the sun, the wind and gentle waves.

Our first stop would be in Roja, an ancient fishing village, known from 14^th century where archaeologists found Viking burial ships.

The next night we’ll spend in Salacgriva with its old city wall and wonderful nature of the Baltic shore – fragrant pine trees, soft fine sandy beaches and tall bright sky up above you.
